Radiant Patterns Plate - Guided Workshop (2-day)
Explore the beauty of contrasting textures and custom carved surface imagery in this new "no glass cutting" fused glass workshop.
On day one, students will plan their floral or geometric designs, then choose a colored base and learn how to build layered depth using powdered glass on the surface.
Once fired, students will return for day two and cut their own custom vinyl stencil design to apply to the glass surface before sandblasting away the exposed powder to reveal a crisp, multi-layered design.
After a full fuse firing, the glass will be slumped into a square mold to create a functional, sculptural piece that is both durable and decorative.
We’ll cover color pairing, vinyl stencil layout, proper sandblasting depth, and design assembly for the kiln.
Guided Workshops are recommended for ages 16+
2-day workshop:
July 1 + 2: 5:30pm–7:30pm
July 22 + 23: 5:30pm–7:30pm
August 11 + 12: 5:30pm–7:30pm
September 15 + 16: 5:30pm–7:30pm
