Frit Painting: Pet Portrait - Guided Workshop (2-day)
Turn your beloved pet into a vibrant work of art in glass! On day one, starting with a printed color image template of each pet, students will “paint” with fine frit, carefully matching colors to the image on clear glass. Similar to a paint-by-number process (without numbers), this project focuses on precision, color placement, and building imagery using fine and powdered glass frit. On day two we will inspect the fired portraits and add finishing details before firing them a second time. Finished projects are 7"x7" full fused on a white background.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:
• Translate painterly color blocking into glass
• Use fine frit to create shading, depth, and expressive texture
• Layer and blend colors for dimension
• Add personality and detail while maintaining a cohesive design
Note: Please email a close-up, well-lit photo of your pet to angie@brazeeglass.com at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled class.
Guided Workshops are recommended for ages 16+
2-day workshop:
