Storage Jar with Cast Lid - Guided Workshop (2-day)

Create a new statement piece that would make a beautiful vase or candle holder. In this brand new 2-day comprehensive glass fusing workshop, students will learn to harness the "flowing" cast glass technique to create swirling patterns with movement and dimension using colorful sheet glass, accessory glass and premade vitrigraph. On day 1, students will curate their own color palette of glass and fill a vermiculite mold to create a flow block. On day 2, students will cut apart the block to reveal swirls, patterns and unexpected dimension and carefully place the pieces into a circle dam to flow again into a disk. 

Finished cast disks will be shaped and kiln polished then adhered to a clear glass jar with a wooden lid. Each project is approximately 5"x7".

Guided Workshops are recommended for ages 16+

2-day workshop:

April 21st + April 22nd 5:30pm-7:30pm

May 6th + May 7th 5:30pm-7:30pm

June 4th 5:30pm-7:30pm + June 6th 10:30am-12:30pm

June 27th 10:30am-12:30pm + June 30th 5:30pm-7:30pm
